Sunshine Pool Public Meeting reminder
The Sunshine Mothers Group is holding another public meeting about the Sunshine Pool this Thursday 26th October at 6.30pm with a sausage sizzle available from 6.00pm for those coming in straight from work.

The Mothers Group will be reporting on the outcomes of their discussions with the State Government and Brimbank Council and will then open up discussion to the community in attendance.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Apparently invitations have been sent to State Government and Brimbank Councillors so hopefully there will be some serious information presented about the status of the replacement options for the outdoor pools.

We recommend everyoine attend so that you can keep informed about what is happening and have your say or vote about where we go next if there is nothing happening!

PUBLIC MEETING

Thursday 26 October 2006

_________________
Brimbank has a population of over 170,000 people and has only one outdoor pool. Most other councils have 5 - 12 outdoor pools. Brimbank also has close to the worst health status in Victoria. But the Council and the State Government demolished 3 outdoor pools in Sunshine.

A 25 Metre pool is now finally scheduled to be built at Sunshine and opened in November 2008

Join in the campaign to have the pools repaired or replaced properly now!
